Nipple & Areolar Surgery

Areola reduction, nipple reduction and eversion may be performed to improve the overall appearance. Areola size reduction may be performed for large areolae, which is commonly due to large and heavy breasts. This may be performed together with breast reduction surgery that ultimately aims to achieve a more proportionately sized breast and areola. Disproportionately large nipples that may result from pregnancy & breast feeding may undergo nipple reduction. However, this may affect breast feeding in future. Nipple eversion may be done on those with a ‘pulled-in’ (retracted) nipple to evert the nipple.
